the client brought us out to lunch both days when we were in dockland.. first time was the dim sum.. second time was this place in the canary wharf shopping area.. which served quite nice food.. at least the dish i ordered was quite nice.. some fried udon with chicken..



remember drinking elderflower juice last time at lys's place.. and remember it being quite nice.. so tried it again.. but this one was spritzer style.. which wasnt relli nice.. tasted a bit like soda water..

this was also the day when we had to shift hotel.. cos the next day supposed to be starting work in the uxbridge office.. it took almost an hour for the client to drive from dockland (east of london) to uxbridge (west of london).. which was considered quite fast cos traffic was light.. also compared to the fact that the client who stays near uxbridge actually has to travel 2 hours every morning for the past 2 mornings to dockland.. just cos of our visit to dockland.. poor guy.. another client had to travel from southampton to dockland for the purpose of our visit.. hospitality got win a little bit here lah but still cant beat GC region.. :)
i had to keep awake during the entire car journey to tok to the client.. topic moved from cigarettes to taxes to education to summons to cars to.. watever.. was trying hard to not fall asleep.. and trying to keep awake by counting down the miles on his satellite navigator.. while joc was comfortably sleeping in the back seat.. told her next time she is gonna be the one sitting in front.. but dun think there is a chance for a next time liaoz.. even if there is a chance.. its gonna be mid of 2007



when we reached the hotel in uxbridge, we had to go eat our dinner immediately cos the restaurant closes at 10pm.. we shared this set dinner.. which had smoked fish as appetizer.. only the smoked salmon was nice.. the rest were a bit too salty



and this morocco flavoured chicken.. which relli tasted quite bad.. it looks quite bad also ah.. actually when i ordered it.. i expected some roast or grilled chicken.. but ended up having this weird tasting and weird smelling chicken..



and some salad vege stuff...



think the fries was the best part of the meal..



thats a close up of the egg which came with the morocco chicken.. thought the yolk of the egg looked a bit weird ah..



and the cheesecake.. the crust part was pretty nice.. but the cheesecake was too rich.. lucky we shared the meal.. cos this set relli had lots of food..

oh yah.. must mention abt this waiter in the restaurant.. he was like super on lor.. and smile super a lot lor.. me and joc already smile so much liaoz (as ber always comments).. but i think his smile is even more stuck on and even wider than ours combined.. and he kept changing our plates and forks and knives.. i think he changed it at least 4 times during the meal.. but sometimes he forgets to take back the dirtied ones.. so at one point in time.. i had like 3 knives and 3 forks to choose from..



this the next meal we had.. for lunch on the first day at uxbridge.. went to this shopping centre called chimes near the office.. decided to grab a quick bite so that we could do some shopping.. the salad selection which was nice..



and the lasagne which.. hmm.. tasted a bit weird.. 2 of us shared all these.. and we still didnt finish it.. haha.. better stop this bad habit.. keep getting scolded by maximalist for wasting food.. then again.. he scolds me for a lot of things too.. driving too recklessly lah.. not putting seatbelt lah.. msn-ing with other pple when tokking to him lah.. some guys are just so naggy..



and the giant cookie.. its relli called the giant cookie!!! and it costs like GBP1.70!!



supposed to take this pic to show how giant the cookie is.. but the effect didnt come out veri well cos of the angle it was taken from.. after that we went shopping.. there is top shop here.. but i couldnt find anything nice.. actually i found this pair of pants.. but then didnt have the length i wanted.. joc managed to buy a pair of jeans though :)
