last night in shanghai..

today was a fruitful day for me and joc.. quite fruitful lah.. compared to the rest of our stay here.. we actually managed to buy stuff.... in the morning went for bfast at zen.. we left hotel at 1045.. and walked over to raffles city.. YES.. raffles city AGAIN... cos we actually saw where ZEN was only on friday.. its some place that mx had recommended, and apparently cl also went before and thinks the food is quite good.. so.. whoever who is coming to shanghai.. nearest being bestest fren.. go to raffles city and try the ZEN.. its like 4th or 5th floor.. at one of the corners.. the corner below the food court.. cos if u try asking the stoopid information counter, they will tell u there is no place in the building which sells dian xin (ie tim sum)... the food is pretty interesting.. i liked this baked potato with cheese thing.. hmm.. actually thats the only thing i liked.. but the food there is quite interesting.. can give other items in the menu a try..

 

then after that went to esprit to buy a white jacket.. for my europe trip.. actually had tried it during the week.. but didnt relli appeal to me then.. but then i do need to get winter clothing lah.. so tried it again.. and decided to buy.. good bargain too.. cos its only RMB 599..

 

then after that we went to qi1 pu3 lu4 for shopping.. its a good place to shop at.. lots of stuff.. even though its damn crowded.. dunno whether cos its a saturday.. anyway.. one of the bldgs there is like far east.. there is this escalator facing the road which brings u direct to the second floor.. but now the season all winter clothing though... so slightly less "suitable" clothes to buy.. but again, cos of the europe trip, bought a number of turtle necks.. i bought 2 jeans too :) and now that i have just packed my luggage.. i dun think i can buy anymore stuff oredi.. my luggage is quite full...

 

i was looking for a handbag too.. cos the coach that i brought is too small to put my damn bulky camera.. and i wanted to stop acting like a tourist and sling the camera ard.. so just before we left the bldg.. this lady came up to us and asked whether we wanted to see their "goods".. decided to go and take a look.. and ended up doing something that i had told myself never to do in shanghai.. i bought an imitation.. and the worst thing is.. i bought a prada.. with that triangle sign that i dun like.. mebbe when i go back to singapore, i will try to remove that tag... anyway.. exposed my secret oredi.. please ah.. when u all see this prada.. dun laugh at me.. the bag is actually quite nice lah.. its just that that triangle sign spoils everything..

 

after that supposed to meet ccc and n for dinner... actually was supposed to meet him for lunch.. but cos of our breakfast at zen and the shopping.. kenna delayed until dinner time.. it was agreed that he was gonna pick me and joc at 6 from the hotel.. but we didnt manage to get any cab from qi pu lu back to the hotel.. their cabs like singapore cabs like that.. at certain times they disappear or refuse to pick any passengers up.. we had to pay the black market rate to get a cab... but managed to get one in the end.. and we were late.. n veri poor thing.. think he was walking ard the area.. so he came by our hotel first to wait for us.. must have waited pretty long.. but he didnt blame us lah.. girls will be girls.. always late.. haha .. what a generalisation.. but hey.. we are ALLOWED to be late!!! :)

 

we went to food street to have dinner.. ate lots of local food.. like some soup fried bao.. which was quite nice.. but though ccc says that there is soup inside, we suspect it might be more oil than soup.. then ate some meat and vege bao.. which i think was quite horrible.. cos there was too much chong.. and it started hurting the tongue... and then ate ma la tang also.. which was ok ok only.. lucky i dun stay in shanghai on a long time basis.. else my staple food will probably be chocolate... after that walked along.. bought a mango juice which was nice.. and prawn crackers which was too much.. they gave a whole load of prawn crackers in those V shaped paper containers.. and it only cost RMB3..

 

also saw this shoe shop called daphne.. hehe.. wanted to get a shoe with my name on it.. but.. too bad lah.. daphne's shoes relli cannot make it.. hehe :)

 

then after that went to the bund again to take the river cruise.. only me joc and n went.. ccc went for a drink.. another alcoholic.. its was quite a nice sight on the river.. the prob is.. it was too darn cold.. relli relli too cold.. cos my hands, my face and my toes were freezing.. tried to take pics too.. but all didnt turn out very nice.. cos the boat is moving all the time.. and the night lights didnt turn out very nice also.. i dun relli know how to use the camera lah...

 

after that went back to the bund... 5 on the bund.. where ccc was.. and stayed there for another round of dinner.. and drinks.. non-alcoholic drinks for me and joc.. there was a pool table there too... and so we played.. at first only n played.. then i played doubles with him and these other pple in the pub.. and then ccc played.. and then i played and then.. etc etc.. bestest fren!!! are we too old to play pool oredi??? i wanna play!!! hehe.. the interest is back!!!

 

stayed there to watch the chelsea match and the man u match.. lost bets to ccc cos i first said chelsea will lose.. then said man u will lose.. so in the end..i lost both.. treated him to one drink oredi... the other one still owing him.. when he goes back singapore then pay back bah... or maybe he will forget abt the bet.. :)

 

i dun think i have typed such a super long entry before.. all words some more.. if u have read every single word until here.. u r relli good!!! hhaa :) ok.. gonna rest liaoz.. tomolo flight to shenzhen oredi... the few days of dieting.. and poor shopping.. but not so siong work... is coming.. i hope they have access to blogspot there..
