2007 New Year Resolutions

ok.. decided to start doing my resolutions for the new year.. hopefully will keep to them.. but just as i am starting to think abt it.. i get confused between wishes and resolutions.. wats the difference?? i can only think of wishes.. but none of them fit into a "resolution"... anyway.. here goes..

No 1 - i wanna go japan.. haha.. see.. i told u its a wish list and not a list of resolutions

No 2 - i wanna celebrate my bday with a special someone.. my last 2 birthdays were not exactly the best days of my life.. so i want this year to be special.. i wan to have a birthday party.. i wan to have my bf, my frens and my family all around me on that day.. so all you frens who read this.. pls remember to keep October 4th 2007 free!!!

No 3 - i wan to try something different in my career.. not exactly career lah.. but i wanna try a refreshing change in my job aspect.. whether its a good thing or not i dunno.. but at least try it out for a period of time...

No 4 - i wan to quit shk-ing.. hmm.. ok.. im forcing myself to write this.. but i guess it has to happen sometime.. dunno whether it will happen in 2007.. mebbe 2008 or 2009??

No 5 - ok.. i think this is a resolution.. at last.. a resolution - i wan to go to the gym at least once a week.. mebbe more? hha.. but for now.. once a week will be a tough thing to do liaoz..

No 6 - i will keep my room tidy.. to the best of my ability... i think the current state is quite ok oredi lah.. after i tidied my wardrobe and my soft toys... the table.. err.. ok lah.. as long as i still can see the computer screen..

No 7 - i wan to have dinner with my whole family at least once a week.. ya.. i dun.. is that a surprise? i eat with them separately on an irregular basis.. actually.. i only eat with my mum.. and my dad.. on an irregular basis.. i dun even eat with my bro.. the only time this year (besides those family outings) was probably when i da-baoed home and ate with him in front of the tv..

No 8 - i wan to learn how to speak hokkien fluently.. so that i can speak with my grandparents... so that they can be more comfortable communicating with me.. rather than half mandarin half hokkien.. i dun think my grandmother knows much mandarin.. when i speak to her in mandarin.. i dun think she understands half of wat im trying to say.. the way when she speaks to me in hokkien, i dun understand 3/4 of wat she is trying to say.. and i will then have to get my parents to interpret.. but in her case.. no one helps her to interpret cos she doesnt ask..

ok.. i shall stop at No 8 cos its a lucky number.. the days are passing by too fast.. its scary ah.. 1980... 1981... 1982... 1983... 1984... 1985... 1986... 1987... 1988... 1989... 1990... 1991... 1992... 1993... 1994... 1995... 1996... 1997... 1998... 1999... 2000... 2001... 2002... 2003... 2004... 2005... 2006... now 2007 is on its way..
